A molar apicectomy, a resected root face, and a retro-cavity that will take a proper increment? The red Surgery needle is the wider of the two at Ø1.10 mm, which matters more in surgery than anywhere else: every extra delivery is another movement in a field you are working hard to keep dry and still. This is the right-handed one.

› Choose bore by cavity, not by habit. A wider needle in a small retro-preparation places less accurately, not more.
› Fifteen minutes, then floss. Set cement in a surgical needle is the expensive kind of mistake – these are not consumables.
› Not for Biodentine, excluded by the IFU from the red and yellow needles because it clogs them.

Is the red one the default for surgery?
It is the more generally useful of the two, but a small root end or a tight flap will want yellow. The honest answer is that surgical practices tend to own both.

Will it fit my existing MAP syringe?
Yes – every needle in the range shares the same bayonet fitting, so adding a surgical geometry costs a needle rather than a second handpiece.
