Every other irrigating tip on this site is disposable. This one is not. Vista Apex make it in nickel-titanium and state it is autoclavable for repeated use, with a longer life cycle and reduced clogging. That is why a cup of six sits at the price it does – the comparison is not six tips against a hundred, but six against however many cases you get out of them.

Six tips for that price?
They are autoclaved and used again. A disposable is costed per case; this is costed per cup and then forgotten about. Whether it works out cheaper depends on your case volume and your decontamination routine – which is why we stock the disposables too.

How many times can I reuse one?
Vista Apex publish no cycle count, so neither do we. Retire one on the usual grounds – deformation you cannot correct, or a lumen that will not clear.

Does it come longer?
QED stock the 17 mm. For a longer needle, IrriFlex® 30G at 27 mm is the one in our range.
