Reaching further down a wide, straight canal. ET40 is Acteon’s long steel retreatment tip. The tip sheet describes it as a “long retreatment tip for the removal of broken instruments in the middle third of large and straight canals”.

›  Clean, disinfect and sterilise before each use, following Acteon’s cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation instructions for tips (J02001).
›  Replace at least once a year. Acteon: because a maximum number of uses cannot be set, tips in routine use should be “replaced at least once a year”, and sooner if the tip no longer vibrates as expected or treatment slows.
›  Watch the site for heat. Acteon’s tip sheets state that the practitioner has to continually monitor the clinical site to immediately identify any heating risk.

Acteon’s tip sheet gives settings for the Newtron® range, including the P5 XS B.LED and Booster. Acteon advise against using their tips on other makers’ handpieces, and other makers’ tips on theirs.
