The same canal, a hundred times over.

Extracted teeth are the real thing, and no two of them are the same – which is exactly the problem when you are marking twenty students against one another. A resin bloc gives every candidate an identical J-curve to negotiate, and a wall you can see the instrument through while they do it. Dentsply Sirona’s own description is characteristically brief – resin exercise blocks, for endo training – and the box of 100 is the teaching quantity rather than the chairside one.

J-curve canal	A single curve, pre-formed in the block – the shape our old QED and VDW training blocks carried, and the one most courses start on

What does “J-Shape 15” mean?
The canal is a single J-shaped curve and its apical size is ISO 15 – the same designation you would read off a hand file. Dentsply publish no taper figure against this reference, so we do not quote one.

We used to buy the QED Training Block. Where has it gone?

Not in this reference – 100 is how Dentsply box it. For smaller numbers the E-Blocks come in tens.
