Separated instrument retrievalFor BTR PenSingle use
Replacement tips for the BTR Pen: a needle of 0.4 mm diameter with a nitinol loop at its end, which the pen carries to the fragment, closes around it and draws out. Cerkamed's spec for the loop: a thin, highly elastic needle with a nitinol loop that returns to shape, resists stretching, and is biocompatible and corrosion-resistant. Five to the pack, single use.

› Cerkamed, in capitals: "STERILISE WITHOUT THE PROTECTIVE CUP!"
› Set the loop with the calibrator before it goes in – Cerkamed note that a blunt or bent calibrator needle "negatively affects the instrument performance".
› Cerkamed: "Used tips disposed of responsibly or returned to the manufacturer."
The one that reaches the fragment. A 0.4 mm needle is the middle size, a little stiffer than the 0.3 for a fragment that needs more pull. Keep all three; the case chooses.
No. Cerkamed are unambiguous that the tip is single use, and a loop that has been tightened on steel once will not set true a second time.
